flipbull 1,139
your data is safe enough when they change the screen Its only an old galaxy S3. I don't really no how bad it's damaged but as I say mate it plugs into usb on pc and I can get some things off it. Would a samsung kies or Samsung suite programme work do you know Terry? Can't get it fixed till through the week, fella's on holiday.

Just had to sign in to samsung which the phone was registered, had to reset password as I couldn't remember it. Signed in and said it may take a few days. This will give me access to take lock off the screen, then hopefully sort it out then with samsung kies. Kies will not let you access your phone unless you unlock the screen on the device, this can be done relatively easily! Go onto the Samsung website and click the 'find my phone' button (or simply google this). Log in and there will be an option on the left hand side of the screen to unlock your screen remotely, click this and when the progress bar filled it will say 'your phone is now unlocked'. Connect with your USB Cable and Kies will allow you access to your files. I hope this helps, if not let me know and I will try to explain further. Cheers mate
